Mongolia in Brief
Mongolia is the largest landlocked country in the world.
It stretches across 1,566,000 square kilometers and its topography is as diverse as its past.
The snow capped mountains and crystal clear lakes in the west contrast with the wide open steppe in the east, not to mention the well-known Gobi desert along the southern border, and the forested hills and valleys in the north.
The country is an average of 1580 meters above sea-level.
All of these factors combine to produce what is truly a magnificent and unique country. |
